Site Visit: Coroners Court of Victoria

Wednesday 1 April, 6.30pm-8.30pm 65 Kavanagh Street, Southbank

The Loss and Grief Practitioners Association is pleased to offer a visit to the Coroners Court as the first discussion group meeting of 2020.

Bereaved clients often have questions about the coronial process and need support in understanding and navigating the system.

This guided tour behind the scenes at the coroners court will equip you with insights into how it works to help you further support your clients.

Victoria has had a coroner since 1841, which was 30 years before Melbourne had even established a temporary morgue.

In 1988, the court moved its purpose-built home in Southbank. The Coroners Court of Victoria as it is today was established on 1 November 2009 with the Coroners Act of 2008.

Join other loss and grief practitioners in discovering more about this vital service.
